Earning an associate degree at Northwest State is a step in the right direction for many graduating seniors. By attending Northwest State for the first two years of your college education you can:
Save Money
It is no secret that tuition costs at a two-year community college are much lower than that of a four-year college or university. But did you know that with the Presidential or Dean’s Scholarship at Northwest State you could take your first two years of college tuition free? You need a 3.50 GPA and, for a full-tuition scholarship, a 23 on your ACT. Download the scholarship application now, or contact the Admissions Office at (419) 267-1320 for more information.
Explore Your Strengths
Not sure yet what you want to be when you grow up? No problem! At Northwest State you can explore your strengths and interests without going into debt. Take a few introductory classes and give yourself a chance to find a career that you love. When you decide what major suits you, you can go on and earn an associates degree and even transfer to the four-year college of your choice and complete your bachelor’s degree.
Learn from the experts
At Northwest State Community College our instructors not only know what they are teaching, they do it for a living. Many of our instructors have real world experience in the industry that they are teaching. This allows students to learn from an expert in their field of study.
Add to Your Resume
From honors programs, like Phi Theta Kappa, to student clubs and organizations, like DECA, Northwest State gives you the opportunity to network with local business and community leaders and add a few credentials to your resume.
